On Monday evening I popped down to Grosmont to try catch my favourite locomotive 55009 Alycidon + a bunch of other diesels leave the NYMR in a convoy after this weekend’s diesel gala.
The Trip went about as well as expected.
I managed to get parked in Grosmont around 6:34pm which in theory was to have at least given me time to catch them coming back the other way after going down to Sleights first.
I hung around from about 6:40pm to 7:16pm while I got my breath back, but the only running diesel I got to see was Northern Rail Class 156 #156444 heading down to Whitby.
After that went for a quick wander up the rail trail and back to try get some consolation footage of something.
